I cant answer your questions because I have no more information than what I have stated. I will defer to Marvin Dorman, the expert researcher of this family, who would probably love to find some more clues on the early Dormans. Marvin's last email was boydorman@att.net. He has a wealth of knowledge on the Dorman family of Edgecombe County, NC, which apparently came from Nansemond County, VA. He also does not hesitate to share what he finds. A very generous and knowledgeable man.
The only child I have of Michael Dorman is Mitchell, and that is only because he was mentioned as being a son in a deed for the land that Michael lived on. I have not done further research. I'll keep my eye on this forum in case something else comes up.
