Elizabeth Dorman, daughter of Henry Dorman, Sr. (d. 1757) and his second wife, Elizabeth ____, grand daughter of Matthew Dorman (d. 1692/93) and his wife Phillippa Gillman, great grand daughter of John (d, 1656) and Sarah Dorman, married Peter Owens on 30 March 1743 Somerset Co., MD. She was the sister of Henry, Jr.; Ursala, who married Levin Clifton; Major, who married Juda Davis; Matthew; Phillis; Sarah, who married Stephen Scady; and Joshua Dorman. Major Dorman, her brother, died 1777 in Sussex Co., DE, and had issue: Charles and Rachel. Elizabeth's sister, Sarah Scady married Stephen Scady, and had issue: Sarah Scady, who married Major Dorman (the younger), the son of Martha Dorman. Thus, the elder Major was an uncle by marriage to Major Dorman, the younger, as he married his neice. Major and Sarah (Scady) Dorman had issue: Nancy, Leah, William, Stephen, Eliza, and Philip H. Dorman. I have the children listed as you do for Peter and Elizabeth (Dorman) Owens, but no further informaiton on the Owens family.
