Hi Donnis,
Yes, I do believe that it is very probable that your
Joseph N. "Jasper" Dorman is my Jasper:)
And if so, he would be brother to my great great grandmother Martha Elizabeth Dorman (married Andrew J. Dempsey).

On the 1860>Georgia>Colquitt Co.>Moultrie P.O. census
I found my great great grandfather Andrew J. Dorman and wife Susan.
Children listed: Louisa, George W., Daniel A., Martha E.(my great grandmother), Benanel B.(i think known as Benjamin),
Henry C., Sarah R., William ?(can't read middle initial),
Joseph N.(age 4), and Harriet M. E.
(I have another child born 1861 - Marion E.)

I don't find this family on the 1870 census, if you do,
let me know cause I have tried a lot of different searches without luck. Wish I could as it would give me a better idea as to when Andrew J. Dorman died.

In my family tree records I have "Jasper" Dorman but no other info.
But on the 1880 census I find Japser Dorman age 24, Suwannee Co., Florida (wife listed Sarah A.).

In 1880 I find Susan Dorman(age 62)living with her son Henry.
Also listed is Alexander Dorman(brother age 18),
Louisa Dorman(sister age 40) and Hariett Dorman(sister age 20)and this is in Hamilton County, Florida (Precinct 2).

I have not done a lot on my Dorman family line lately, so will look through my notes more and see what else I might have and let you know.
Thanks for posting and look forward to sharing more family research and connections with you.
Linda McCook
