Just ran across your query. I have some info on Rufus:

Rufus Dorman son of John Dorman and Mary Roberts was born 31 Jan 1842 in Lingwick, Quebec, Canada. He married Mary Ann Jackson daughter of Philip Jackson and Mary Berwick on 20 Sep 1862 in Ascot Corners, Quebec, Canada. Mary Anne was born 18 Feb 1845 in Bromptonville, Quebec, Canada. They had two daughters:

1. Emily, b 6 Jan 1863 at Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada; d 7 Apr 1863 at Sherbrooke.
2. Ellen Jane b 12 Jul 1864

I found this info on Roots Web while researching my Berwick ancestry.
