Judy,
I have received the following:
1. Major Dorman c. 1718-1777 was the son
of Henry Dorman, Sr. (Mar.19, 1672-1757).
His neice, SARAH SCADY, was the daughter of his sister, Sarah. SARAH SCADY married Major Dorman the younger (c.1760-1813).
2.In the 18th Century Rachel Dorman (1712-1785), dau. of Matthew & Frances Disharoon Dorman, married John Hayman, her first cousin. She was the niece of Henry
Dorman, Sr.
3. Major Dorman, father of Philip H. was listed in the Index Rev. War Records 1781-1785.
4. Philip H. Dorman was one of six children
born to Major Dorman and Sarah Scady. Sarah
Scady's mother was Sarah Dorman who married Stephen Scady.
5. Major Dorman b. c. 1718 was married to
a woman named Juda Davis.
That's the newest info that I have been given. It's no wonder these folks are so hard to figure out!!
