Hi Dave, sorry to be so slow replying -- just got back from holidays and now trying to catch up.

I really feel we are on to the same family, but a different branch. You see the ancestor I am looking for is John DORGAN, father of Mary "Mina" Dorgan who married John Mcdonnell. I do not know who John's wife was but think there is a chance she is Jane ? Quite possibly your ancestor could be a brother to Mina?? We must stay in touch as this might play out together at some point. At the moment I am still locked up on the Mcdonnell's.

P.s. One never knows. My husband swore that noone of his family had ever emigrated, yet I found 2 DUNDON great-aunts in Chicago! There could well be some Dorgan family too.
