It is common for the Dorey's in Nova Scotia to have intermarried with the Native population. I am looking for a link with John Peter Dorey who was born Dec. 31, 1809 I think in Ohio, N.S. He was married to Mary Catherine Spidle and had a son Solomon Dorey, born 1835 who was married to Rosanna Zwicker, born July 6, 1834, who had a daughter Irene Jane Dorey, born Nov. 3, 1864.
