Hi Carole
You are correct in the information you have told me. The Louis Dore (b 1810) you mention, according to information I have, also had 2 other children, a son named Louis and a daughter named Louise. Louise (b 1835) married 14 Jun 1852 St-Romuald, Farnham to Joseph Gauthier, b 18 Jul 1833, Boucherville, son of Basile Gauthier and Francoise Rock/Celerier. They had a daughter named Josephine Gauthier, b 1877 in Conn. who is my Great Grandmother.

The son Louis Dore married 1. Louise Bauphey and married 2. Herminie Bombardier. Louis and Louise had a son named Jacques b 1861 in Marieville who married Josephine Gauthier.

The 1880 US Census shows Joseph and Louise Gauthier living at 46 Providence Street in Norwich, New London, Conn. In that census, the last name is spelled Gautier.

The 1900 US Census shows Louis Dore (Dorey)and his wife Arminie, and Jacques Dore (Dorey) and his wife Josephine all living in Mass. In the US, the spelling of Dore became Dauray.

Jacques died in Missouri as Jacques Dauray.
Josephine died in China, Maine as Josephine Dauray.

Thanks
Stan
