Was the Edward Dore you mention as a brother middle named Eugene? I have been in contact with my fathers much younger cousins and found some additional information and I am trying to figure out if we are indeed related or if there were 2 families living in Ballycluvane at the same time with the same names all of them but different ages and the maiden names of the Marie Dores being different. My great
grandfather Michael Joseph's older brother was quite well off and was able to sponsor the rest of his siblings who wanted to come to America. He eventually became the vice-president of the Chicago, Peoria and Western Railway. He was the Edward Eugene Dore I mentioned at the beginning of this post. In a Who's Who of Chicagoans They say his Father was Maurice Dore, but his mother was Mary (Lyttleton) Dore. His DOB is listed as Oct. 31, 1866. My grandmother told me that dating of births wasn't entirely accurate at the time, I'm not sure if this was indeed the case. I need to know if my Uncle Edward and your Uncle Edward were the same. Thanks so much. Mary Kreischer Davis
