A little more info: Jean Gonelas was born February 8, 1875, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Jean Baptiste Doré and Adeline Ancelet. There were 4 children in all - the three boys; Ovignac, Louis and Jean Gonelas, and their sister Oivlia (?). He died on July 20, 1951, in Leonville, LA.
Euphemie LaHaye was born on September 28, 1878, in St. Landry Parish, LA. She was the daughter of Onezime LaHaye and Louise Lastinie Nezat. Euphemie had 3 brothers and 3 sisters - Nicolas, Arthur, Oide, Louise, Celina and Domatil.
Euphemie and Gonelas were married January 2, 1896. Their first born, John Baptiste was born the same year on Christmas Day. She died November 4, 1936, in Ville Platte, LA.
