Dear John,
I realize that some time has passed since you posted this e-mail. After having a conversation with my father about his family, I am wondering if we are related. My great grandmother's maiden name was Dore. Her first name was Hannah. She was from County Kerry in Ireland and immigrated to the United States in the late 1800's. My father informed me recently that the story was that some of the family (the Dores) stayed in Ireland, some immigrated to the United States, and some immigrated to New Zealand. I know very little else except that Hannah Dore married John Kane and they lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I do know that Hannah's father's name was Richard Dore and that his wife's name was Johanna (I don't know her maiden name) and they were both born in Ireland. Let me know if you think there is possibly a connection. You can reply to me personally at aebremer@newcollege.edu or you can reply to this posting. I hope you are doing okay. Thanks.
peace,
annie bremer
