I have been researching Joseph Dory, born 1787-87 at sea. Apparently his father was in Canada and returned to get the family and he was born on route. In U.S. censuses all of his children show birthplace of father "at sea, French". I have found him in Coburg, Northumberland County, Ontario 1818-1835, then in Binbrook, Wentworth County, 1842, from there lost him until he surfaces in Wisconsin 1850. I would give anything to find out more about him. Christine Spencer
