Dear Teresa,
The name Dore/Dorr/Doore, and such lends it's name to three different origins, in this country. To establish who/where lets say that the Dorr/Dour of Pennsylvania, were for the most German and or Dutch. The Dorr/Dore name is that of English and associated stock (U.K. and Ireland), and the Dor'e/Doo're Family is for the most part of French origin, of course there is more to this, and exceptions apply, but it runs for the most part true. Thanks George. Ps. The name might be in it's truest form, (all European countrys) of German Stock.
