I am trying to find out any information on a Susan Dore. The only information that I have is that she married my great-grandfather John Stephen Francis - January 24, 1883 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, both of Washington County. Married at the house of the Catholic Pastor, Multnomah County, Witnesses were Wm H Cowrie, Minnie Cowrie and G F Fierends, Catholic Pastor. They were involved in a court case in Portland, Oregon in which John's brother's accused him of cohabitating with Susan Dore. They were fined $200.00 and as you can see did marry. However, John returned to England and married Emma Liddle on August 14, 1887 in Liverpool and listed himself as a bachelor. What happened to Susan? Where did she come from and who were her parents? Can't find any death record for her or divorce.
