Here are my notes from the census. 1850 VERMILION TWP., ERIE CO., OHIO CENSUS; 159 DOPP David none Polly none Olive c1833 Adrise J. c1838 Eliza c1840 Caroline E. c1843 Sarah A. c1847 EASTERWOOD Cornelius c1848 127 EASTERWOOD Abraham c1826 Almeda c1827 Frances E. c1845 Cornelia c1847 Maryetta c1849 120 PELTON Marriage: PELTON, Franklin ....DAVIS, Eliza A. ....13 Dec 1838 Franklin c1817 Eliza A. c1820 Edwin R. c1840 James R. c1842 Benjamin F. c1844 Francis V. c1846 EASTERWOOD Susan H. c1830 It could be that Cornelius was Cornelia. I know the handwriting was hard to read when transcribed. She could have just been visiting that day the census taker came by. I am also curious about Susan H. Easterwood who lived with the Pelton's and have posted that question to the Pelton forum. I am trying to find the family and parents of Eli EASTERWOOD who said he was born 1833 or 1834 in Ohio on military enlistment papers, lived in Boone Co. KY, Dearborn Co. IN, and Martin Co. IN before being killed in the Civil War near Kennesaw Mt in 1864. He married Mary Ann TRADER in 1854 and is in the 1860 Boone Co. KY census. He was my gggrandfather and I cannot find out who he belonged to.
