The Emma S.Dooms(born 20 Sept 1867) I have was my grendmother. She was married to John Martin. She was buried at the Rockfish Presbyterian Church. As a child I visited a John Dooms who lived in Dooms, Va, just outside of Waynesboro, Va. I do not know the relationship of John Dooms but there was some kind of relationship. My Emma's father was Henry Dooms (1820-1906) and all family stories indicate that he had a brother named Dorsey. According to the census, my Henry Dooms was born in Pa. His wife was named Elizabeth. The other children included William, Fanny, Mary, Sarah Margaret (listed in the family Bible but not in 1870 census so probably died as a youth) John, Lydia, and a Millie K that was listed in the household of Henry but was not listed in the Bible. Does any of this match your information?
