I grew up in Waynesboro, Va. in the 50's and early 60's. As I remember it, there were several Dooms famalies living in an area just outside of Waynesboro on Rt. 340 called Dooms. There was even a service station called the Dooms Esso and the dooms steel bridge that crosses the South River. Marid is just a few miles from Waynesboro and still only consists of a few houses and no businesses. My grandmother was Emma Dooms Martin and I had a distant cousin who lived in Dooms, Va. that owned a pony that I rode. I can not remember his name.

The records of Rockfish Presbyterian Church in Nelson County indicate that Lizzy, William, and Emma Dooms were members in November 1898.

The cemetery of Rockfish Presbyterian has the following inscriptions. "In memory of our Father,Mother,Sisters, and Brothers"
Eizabeth J. Dooms, born November 12 1850. died 21 June 1899.
Elizabeth A. Dooms, born May 10, 1824. died 1899 and a reference that she was the Mother.
Sarah M. Dooms. born November 2, 1861 and died October 2, 1863.
Henry Dooms born November 3, 1846 and died June 21, 1899
John J. Dooms, born February 6, 1855 and died July 15, 1923
Liddie Dooms. born 30 May, 1859 died July 26, 1873

Family records indicate the Henry Dooms had five children:
Emma Susan Dooms born 12 Sept. 1867 married to John W. Martin, died in Greenfield, Va. about 1947-48.
Mildred Dooms married to Jim Fox
Fanny Dooms married to James Fix
Mary Dooms married to Jake Robinson
William Dooms never married, in later years lived with Emma and John Martin, died in Greenfield, Va.

I JUST RAN OUT OF FACTS AND NEED HELP! CAN YOU SHOW ME THE LINK TO THE OTHER DOOMS GENEALOGY TREES? OR FILL IN THE BLANKS. WHO WAS THE FATHER OF THE ONES LISTED IN THE CEMETERY?
