Jacob Doom before 1774/1774

Hi to all!

From "Early Somerset County" by Frederic Doyle - Somerset County Historical Society. - Somerset PA 1945, Doom arrived in the Stony Creek Glades in Somerset Co., PA in 1774/1775. In MAY 1777, J.DOOM was among the people who founded an association to get rid of wolves. Sometimes in 1779, Jacob Doom sold a land to Christian Booger in Somerset Co.

Does someone has informations or clues for Jacob before 1774? As he is not in Tax lists from those areas since 1771, there is a strong probability that he didn't lived in Somerset but came there only some months a year.

Jacob moved to Kentucky in 1780. He went with others from Somerset Co. down the Ohio. Source : Letter they adress to Congress. May 1780.

Thank you.

Ernest
