Just wanted to add another note to the previous information. Chit and Mary Ann were cousins. They are buried outside of Salem KY at the Tyner's Chapel Church Cemetery. Also in the cemetery are unmarked graves of 2 children of CL and MA that died in infancy. I have never been able to find any other record of these births except for this information posted in the cemetary plot listing at the cemetary. My mother is the oldest daughter of George W. Doom, and her grandmother MaryAnna died on her 4th birthday. Each memorial day we place flowers on their grave, and have a family picnic 'on the grounds' at Tyner's Chapel. It is a lovely little country church, with a large brass bell on a stand. My mother can still remember the sound of the bell as a child which signaled that someone had died, and summoned the neighbors to come help dig the grave. She said it had a sad, mournful sound. Hope this adds some personality to your research. Also, George W. Doom died in 1975, not 1979.
