The above link shows posted information by a Patrick Garcia who descends from the Elgin line. He has over 35 years of genealogy experience. I have emailed him regarding the Mary (Nancy) Elgin he has as James Doolin's wife. A William Elgin, Sr. and Elizabeth Harrison of Charles County, MD had 13 children. They did have a Mary Elgin born 1763. One Rootsweb Gedcom file showed she married a William Garland but no correct marriage year, no children. The birth year and marriage year were both listed as 1763. Some of the Gedcoms did not have a birth year listed for Mary at all but listed unknown, with no husband listed.

Nancy Ann Elgin is incorrect as you posted Dianna she was married to someone else. Mr. Garcia got the new information within the last couple of years and he knows the Nancy Ann Elgin is incorrect.

About 4 Gedcom files showed a child for Mary Elgin and Thomas Doolin. Johnson Doolin b. 1804 Pulaski Cty., KY and d. 1880 Garrard Cty., KY. He is listed on the 1870 Kentucky Census for Garrard County. Do you have this Johnson Doolin?
