Following is some information I have from The Doolen Family 1765-1933 compiled by Charles F. Doolen. Daniel Doolen (Jr.) was born May 12, 1812 in Dintucky. He Married 1836 to Elizabet Mahon who was born May 28, 1817. She was the daughter of Isham Mahon & Dolly Lansford who came to America from France as a small child and settled in Virginia. Then moved to Illinois about 1830. 13 Children: Martha 8/13/1837, Dolly 2/10/1839, Lucinda 1/26/1841, John W. 2/21/1845, Benjamin 2/23/1843, Mary 11/3/1847, George 1/26/1850, Susan 5/22/1852/ James Daniel 9/3/1854 to 10/11/1866, Fannie 9/29/1855, Isham W. 3/20/1858, Emily 1/19/1861, Clara W. 12/22/1865. Daniel & wife settled in Fostertownship Marion County Illinois section (11) where all their children were born and where they grew to manhood and womanhood except 2 James, Daniel & Emily, who died when small children. Daniel was an extensive farmer and stockman was an auctionneer and served as Justice of Peace for ser=veral years. He was an associate Judge of Couty of Marian from 1861-1865. He died 9/7/1877, was buried in Doolen Cemetary in Foster township. Elizabeth died 4/17/1889 buried beside her husband.
