I'm looking for genealogical information on my great grandfather Bartholomew Donovan who emigrated to New York from Ireland in 1869. Bartholomew was born in Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland. He worked as a deckhand on several steamships before moving to live with a brother in Spencer, MA and then to Worcester, MA. Bart had 10 children including a daughter named Julia who was my maternal grandmother. Julia married my maternal grandfather Lawrence Hannon.
