My grandfather was George Stephen O'Donovan born to John Donovan and Ellen Dunne in Cobh, Ireland (then known as Queenstown) in 1880. The family owned a boot and shoe store, supplied the ships in the harbour and owned a few houses nearer to the docks. His siblings were:

Agnes Donovan
Many of the family are believed to still be in Ireland. Our branch is the only one we know of that emigrated to Canada in 1922.
