Hi,
I would like very much if you could find out more information on the Donovan families of Castletown Bere. I have the names of Anne O'Donovan (married Capt. James O'Driscoll after 1825?) and a sister Margaret O'Donovan (married McCarthy in Castletown Bere). My gggrandmother Katherine O'Driscoll lived in Castletown Bere with her O'Donovan grandmother (the wisest woman in the 7 parishes) while the rest of the family moved with the Captain's stationings. She married a Captain Mooney in 1848?, but by 1855 she emmigrated to NYC a widow, and presumably her grandmother having passed away. The big question is whether one can find an O'Donavan family of Castletown Bere that would include at least these two girls!
Thanks
Moira
