My Donovan family also immigrated to New Brunswick prior to 1834/5 from Ireland. They emigrated from Canada to the U.S. settling in Lowell, Mass. between 1850-1855. My ancestors were Denis and Ann Donovan, children: Denis b. Ireland, Timothy, b. 1828 Ireland, Margaret, Ann, Harriet, and Mary--all born in New Brunswick between 1834/5-1841. Unfortunately, I can only assume that they originated from County Cork but no solid evidence to date. Couldn't even find their baptisms in New Brunswick.
