Funeral Listing-Francis Donovan-Lowell Sun-Lowell MA-Oct. 21, 1926

While at the library copying some obits, I managed to copy a Funeral Listing for Francis Donovan. I am not related to this person, but thought I would post it hoping someone out there is.

DONOVAN - The funeral of Francis Donovan took place this morning at 8:30 o'clock from his late home, 20 State street, and was largely attended by relatives and friends, many being present from Peterboro, N.H., Brockton and Lawerence. The cortege, headed by a car filled with floral tributes, proceeded to the Sacred Heart Church where at 9 o'clock a high mass of requiem was sung by Rev. Charles F. Barry, O.M.I. The sanctuary choir sang the Gregorian mass, the solos during the mass being sustained by Mrs. William Sheehan. As the body was being borne from the church the choir sang "De Profundis." Miss Veronica Barr was the organist. Court Middlesex Dimon. F. of A., of which the deceased was a member for a nubmer of years, was represented by Jeremiah Geary, Robert Lee, Daniel O'Gorman and Joseph A. Lorrain. The bearers were Hon. John J. Donovan, Joseph Galvin, Frank Duff, Fred Sadlier, James Ogston and Thomas J. Corbett. There were many beautiful floral tributes and spiritual offerings. Burial took place in the family lot in St. Patrick's cemetery, where the committal pryaers were read by Rev. Fr. Barry, O.M.I. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Undertakers M.H. McDonough Sons.
