Donovan-Rossa roots

My great-grandmother, Mary Donovan was born in Belderg, Co. Mayo the daughter of Timothy and Margaret (Neal) Donovan. she was supposed to be a cousin of Jeremiah O'Donovan-Rossa, the famous rebel. She also claimed to be a cousin of mary O'Donovan, wife of Chauncy Olcott of New York Irish Theator fame.

The family was in NYC for at least 50 years (1850-1900) and a branch went out to Leadville/Aspen/Vail, Colorado about that time.

Mary Donovan married John Connolly of Co. Sligo, in NYC @ 1860 and had my grand mother, Mary in 1862, in NYC.
The family then went to Pennsylvania.
