I find your posting very interesting... I have many Donovan's they arrived in Quebec City circa 1820, some further left and went to the States. They travelled down to NH and VT to work in the lumber camps, most returned, but some stayed. I also have Quinlan's. Here is some of what I have: 1. MICHAEL2 DONOVAN (UNKNOWN1) was born Abt. 1785 in co.Tipperary, Ireland. He married MARGARET EGAN. She was born Abt. 1787 in co.Tipperary, Ireland. Children of MICHAEL DONOVAN and MARGARET EGAN are: i. MICHAEL3 DONOVAN, b. Abt. 1800; m. LOUISE CARRIER, Notre Dame de Quebec, Quebec City, Quebec; b. Abt. 1800. More About MICHAEL DONOVAN and LOUISE CARRIER: Marriage: Notre Dame de Quebec, Quebec City, Quebec 2. ii. DENIS DONOVAN, b. Abt. 1801, co.Tipperary, Ireland; d. Bef. 1865, Quebec, Canada. 3. iii. ELEANOR DONOVAN, b. 1805, co.Tipperary, Ireland; d. Bef. 1872, Ste. Catherine de Portneuf, Quebec. 4. iv. JOHN DONOVAN, b. Abt. 1807, co.Tipperary, Ireland; d. Bef. 1834, Ste.Catherine De Portneuf, Quebec. 5. v. WILLIAM DONOVAN, b. Abt. 1811, co.Tipperary, Ireland. 6. vi. JEREMIAH DONOVAN, b. Abt. 1813. 7. vii. MARGARET DONOVAN, b. Abt. 1816. There is a lot more, but I also have a few Denis, Honora and Jeremiah. In Quinlan I have Thomas b. 1805 married to Hannah Corrigan.
