Hello,
This is a shot in the dark, but my great grandfather, Gerald Joseph Donovan lived in Hartford, CT and died there in 1954. He married Alice Gleason and had 2 children. I do not know when or where he was born, but I'm told he was born there and his family migrated from Ireland? He worked as a volunteer firefighter during the Depression and later at a boys home. I am trying to find his parents and siblings. Is New Hartford close by Hartford in CT? I am not familiar with the area. My grandmother worked at the Cheney Mills (in the Silk factory) and their home was nearby. During the Depression, it was all they had and 3 generations lived together in that home. I hope something here strikes a cord with you. I will be going to look at Census records, but in the meantime, I thought I'd put some feelers out. Thanks.

Tammy Waithman
