Thanks for your message. Yes, I have made quite a bit of progress since I posted the original message. In fact, through this forum I met two third cousins from Michigan (I'm from Minnesota) who had some connections to one of the folks mentioned in the Farm Lanes article you were quoting from. The cousins and I went to the Bentinck reunion this past summer and there we met a direct descendant of John Donnelly & Alice Russell -- Donnetta (for Donnelly) Langrill McCulloch who showed us many pictures of the early Donnelly's and who lives in the home that David Donnelly (son of John & Alice) built in the 1890s. I saw that home and heard some great stories from Donnetta. It's a trail I've been following for almost 30 years so it was great to actually meet other descendants of John Donnelly. Thanks for your assistance.
