Any idea where in Ireland your Donnelly branch was from? We have Martin Donnellys in our line (of which your group may be a branch)-- all originally from Wexford.
We also have a "New York connection"--Bridget Donnelly (dob 1842), daughter to Michael Donnelly and Catherine Donnelly, emigrated to New York at some point, but we understand that she subsequently returned to Ireland later in life. So possibly other branches of the family went to New York as well.
