Your posting reminds me of one I put out quite a while ago (possibly when I saw the original of the one you reposted). One of my ancestor's John Donnelly born 1823 in Ireland and died 1913 in New York State would brag in his later years of all the romances he had earlier in life with Queen Victoria's ladies in waiting. If a Donnelly did marry into a branch of the royal family it is not unlikely that he found jobs for as many of his family as he could. That's how we did it over here. Maybe there is a connection. My John married an Ellen Donnelly (no acknowledged relative) who was brn in Ireland in 1832 and died in US in 1908.
