There seems to be a lack of information on Donnelly's in these states. We are looking for my husband's ancestors. His ggrandfather was John Donnelly, born @ 1863, place unknown, but perhaps Conneticut. He married Ellen Quinlan, b @ 1863 in New Haven, Conneticut, daughter of Ann Cook and Andrew Quinlan. They appear to have migrated to either the Blue Earth or Wells, Fairbault County area of MN. Ellen died in Buffalo Center, IA in the mid-1900s. We know they had 1 son, my husband's grandfather, James Leo Donnelly. He was born in 1888, place unknown, married Lois Wise, place unknown but probably in MN, and died in @1913, probably in MN. They had 3 children: Clare L., Born August 26, 1908 in Winnebago, MN and died in 1947 in Burma; Dolores Ellen, born June 23, 1911, in Buffalo Center, IA, and Arthur, born August 10, 1909, birthplace unknown. My husband is the son of Claire. This is all the information we have been able to find. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
