Queen Victoria (was German), her first cousin Julia White (was English) married the Queen's Head Coachman Martin donnelly (was Irish). Julia and Martin ran away to America. Martin Donnelly irish born in Ireland, married Elizabeth Julia White born in England, had three sons and one daughter. Charlotte died about 1929 First son, John Donnelly wife Margaret, John Second son, Edward Donnelly, wife Mary Brown, known as Emily. Son John last address known is New Jersey. Mary Dorothy Brown Donnelly: Mary's Father was Winfield Scott Brown, English, extremely handsome, white goatee. Died in NY, while working in Connecticut from disentary, during WWI. (Was he related to USA General Winfield Scott, born in Petersburg, Va.?) (General Winfield /scott was in command of Federal Troops at start of Civil War, died at age 75, at West Point, NY, in 1866.) Mary's grandfather, Robert Brown (English) lived in Virginia. Elizabeth and Winfield's children Elizabeth Winfield was an English Quaker in Virginia. He had a Virginia plantation which he gave up prior to the Civil War. He gave all slaves their freedom papers and traveling money. More than half of the slaves went to Pennsylvania with Winfield and would not take any money; stayed with Winfield until each died. Martin A. A. Donnelly, Mary's husband, was very close to her family. He adored his Mother-in-law, Elizabeth, and Father-in-law Winfield. Martin constantly teased Eva. Maude and Bill Keane, and their children were constantly with the Donnelly Clan-like one family.
