Mary's mother was Elizabeth Julia, was short and plump, dark hair, pretty, full of fun. French Irish, born in Ireland. Elizabeth's sister, Margaret, Catherine, born in Ireland, Mary's brother, John born in USA. All raised in Pennsylvania.

Mary's Father was Winfield Scott Brown, English, extremely handsome, white goatee. Died in NY, while working in Connecticut from disentary, during WWI. (Was he related to USA General Winfield Scott, born in Petersburg, Va.?) (General Winfield /scott was in command of Federal Troops at start of Civil War, died at age 75, at West Point, NY, in 1866.) Mary's grandfather, Robert Brown (English) lived in Virginia.

Elizabeth and Winfield's children
Grace
Robert
Mary
Maude married Bill Keane
Evelyn and Harold (twins)
Also a set of twins died at birth.

Elizabeth Winfield was an English Quaker in Virginia. He had a Virginia plantation which he gave up prior to the Civil War. He gave all slaves their freedom papers and traveling money. More than half of the slaves went to Pennsylvania with Winfield and would not take any money; stayed with Winfield until each died.

Martin A. A. Donnelly, Mary's husband, was very close to her family. He adored his Mother-in-law, Elizabeth, and Father-in-law Winfield. Martin constantly teased Eva. Maude and Bill Keane, and their children were constantly with the Donnelly Clan-like one family.
