Mary Kathryn (Kay) Donnelly, 66, of Palm Desert, CA, passed away December 29, 2007 in Eisenhower Medical Center, Rancho Mirage, CA of Pulmonary Fibrosis.
She was born February 8, 1941 to Richard and Mary Ann Donnelly in East Chicago, IN (formerly of Highland, IN). She worked as a Secretary and Tour Guide over a 20-year period. She was an active member in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert, CA.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Cee) Jones, Rob (Alma) Jones, and Rick (Devin) Jones, all of California; brother, Dick (Cathy) Donnelly of Crown Point, IN; stepsister, Vicki (Larry) Grott of Union Mills, IN; stepmother, Laura Donnelly of LaPorte, IN; and 5 grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler, Madison, Kafey, and Jake.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Donnelly; mother Mary Ann Horgash; and stepfather, Joseph Horgash.
A Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Chapel Lawn in Schererville, IN. Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Schererville, IN with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn. A Celebration of Life will be held as a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2008 (Kay\'s birthday) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 43775 Deep Canyon Road in Palm Desert. Father Howard Lincoln will be officiating. The family suggests that donations be made to the American Lung Association. Forest Lawn Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements.
