My wife was Donna Doncaster before I married her and she and her family all originate from Lincolnshire.

The Doncasters in her family go back at least two generations in the county and live in either Lincoln City or Grantham, a small toen which is the birthplace of the former prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

I will gladly look into the history of the Doncaster line on my wifes side if you think that there could be a link - I wouldn,t be surprised if there was as there are only 11 Doncaster families listed in the Lincoln telephone directory which covers a population of over 100 000.

Please write,
Donna would be very interested to hear from you.
