Looking for information on origins of Donaghy family from Dungannon area, Tyrone who went to Megantic county, Quebec, Canada in the late 1820s or early 1830s. Those involved that I know about were as follows:David Donaghy (my GGF) b. abt 1808, m. Charlotte Ellis 1838; John Donaghy b. abt 1800, m. Mary Ellis 1833; Elizabeth Donaghy b. ?, m. Frederick Ellis 1841. These were brothers and sisters in both families. Others that might have been involved were:Arthur Donaghy b. abt 1782 (father or uncle ?); Michael Donaghy b. 1804, m. Elizabeth Ann Nugent 1843 (brother or cousin ?); Noble Donaghy b. 1810, m. Anne Duff 1840 (brother or cousin ?)
