The 1850 Laurens County Census listed these as living in John Thomas¹ household at that time: John Thomas 34, Holly Ann (Jones) Thomas 35, Roxann Thomas 13, Seaborn Thomas 11, Elsey Thomas 9, Levin C. Thomas 6, Laura Ann Thomas 3, (one of the above daughters married Benjamin Taylor), W.L. Thomas (born in South Carolina) 72, Catherine Thomas 57, and Layena Thomas 23 years old.

The 1870 Laurens County Census listed these later children in John Thomas¹ household: John Thomas 53, Holley Thomas 56, Richard A. Thomas 30, Zachariah Thomas 18, and Henry L. Thomas 17 years old. (Two Thomas families were already living in Telfair County for the 1870 census.)

On November 21, 1889 Henry Lee Thomas and Julie Ida Dorminy (Dominy?), of Laurens County, were married. Their ten children, all except the last one, were born in Laurens County and were named: James Henry Thomas, Virgil Lee Thomas, Lila Mae Thomas, John Edward Thomas, Joseph Hardy Thomas, Elsie Jane Thomas, Robert Guy Thomas, Fannie Thomas (who died at seven months of age), Edna Pearl Thomas, Ivey Eugene Thomas, and Charlie Barrett Thomas, the youngest child was born in Telfair County.

IF ANYONE RECOGNIZES THIS FAMILY PLEASE CONTACT ME. I AM AT A WALL ON THEM.
