HAVE YOU LOOKED INTO: Juan Emiliano Bosch Gaviño who wrote stories, novels, essays, biographies, he was an educator, a historian and a politician. He was an important character in the Dominican Republic, not only because of his literary achievements, but also because of his participation in the country’s politics. His works have been translated to several foreign languages, such as: German, English, Portuguese, Italian, French and Dutch. He was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, on June 30th, 1909. His father, also called Juan Bosh Subiras, was Catalonian, and his mother was the Puerto Rican, Angela Gaviño.
