Children: 1) Jose Remigio, born Oct. 1, 1777.- 2) Francisco de Paula, born April 7, 1779 Godfather colonel lieutenant and sergeant major Don Ignacio Perez-Caro.-3) Francisco de Asis, born Oct. 4, 1780, died 1792, cadet.- 4) Lucas, born Oct. 18, 1782.- 5) Juan Ramon (Utr.), (meaning that this info. was taken from Fray Cipriano de Utrera genealogical work). Lieutenant of Infantry Don Jose Freyre, died in 1782, buried July 25.

The FERNANDEZ DE CASTRO surname is listed under the surname Fernandez in the same encyclopedia (pag. 161-169) it goes back to Francisco Fernandez de Castro, married to Isabel Flores (spain) their grandson was Francisco (Fernandez) de Castro (Garay), relator of the Royal Audience in Santo Domingo married to Paula de la Riva daughter of Baltazar Garcia and Aldonza Acevedo in 1591(CLB), these are ascendants of Teresa Fernandez de castro y Melendez-bazan.
