Abraham Harding, b. 14 Jun 1720, d.1806. War Dept records show that Abraham Harding was appointed a Second
Lieutenant in Col William Allison's regiment, New York Militia, Revolutionary War. He was commissioned by the Provincial Congress on Dec 1, 1775. He was
promoted to Captain in 1786 and to Second Major in 1794. At that time he resided in Minnisink, Orange Co., NY. Since I did the research myself at the US National Archives and by telephone with the NY National Guard historian, I know that it is accurate. I cannot verify that he was married to Anna Dolson, but that is what I have always thought to be the case.
