One possible Indian connection- Isaac Dolsen's son Daniel has hired to plow and plant for the Indians. While working with them he met Abigail Coburn who has been taken prisoner by the Indians while she was helping a friend who had just had a baby, they were living in what is today part of Kentucky. All three were taken prisoners, nothing is know of the her fiend or baby - we presume that they did not live long. Abigail was a prisoner for over a year according to one of her grandchildren Abigail was taken to the River Raisin in Canada, near Detroit where the Indians farmed on an island.Daniel helped Abigail escape. The story goes that they took a canoe and married in Detroit. One of their daughters married Rev William Griffis my g-g-g-grandfather.
