Christine,
I have the line that goes up to John Dolloff In Mount Vernon, Maine.
My sister spent quite a bit of time and travel tracing it - here it is:
Christian Dolloff's 2nd wife was Sarah Scammon - one of their children was Richard who married Catherine Bean (daughter of John Bean, one of the indentured Scots.)
Richard and Catherine had quite a few children - one of whom was Jonathan - this turns out to be our line. Jonathan married Mary Young. They moved to Scituate, R.I. where her father gave them land (the land proofs are in the Scituate Town Office building.) They had 3 children and then Jonathan was mustered into war - and died in Canada about 1745 in the Louisburg Expedition. Mary is noted as receiving his war pay. Mary takes the 3 children and moves back to Exeter where she marries a Sam Foulsham. The three children of Jonathan and Mary are: David, Jonathan, and Richard. Richard is our line - He marries in Exeter (I don't know his wife's name but it may have been Wells, as the Wells are also in Mount Vernon. Anyway, Richard and five children relocate to Mount Vernon, Maine, along with several other related Exeter families, where it is recorded that he is married Judith Fellows - but she leaves and returns to Exeter. Our John who marries Elizabeth Taylor is this Richard's son.
So the line goes: Christian, Richard, Jonathan, Richard, John - then my line goes through John's son, David who moved to Monroe,Maine - David's son John who moves to Belfast - John's son Mark and then Mark's son Robert (my father) -John and Elizabeth (Taylor)Dolloff are my great-great-great grandparents.
Hope you can follow this.
Jeanne
