Hi Paulette,
Two of Richard Dollins sons married daughters of Hugh Alexander and Jane Kinkead (Kincaid).Richard’s son Presley, who married Ruth Alexander, had a son named Hugh Alexander Dollins who was born 5 Mar 1800, Albemarle Co., VA, and died 17 Oct 1836, Lincoln Co., TN. He married Elizabeth Armstrong, and his known children are John A. Dollins, Thomas Dollins, Mary Jane Dollins, Presley Dollins, Margaret R. Dollins, and David Armstrong Dollins.
Richard’s son William, married Mary Alexander, and died in 1783, leaving two children Hugh and Elizabeth. (Mary Alexander married William Davis after William died) I think that this Hugh Dollins was the father of Hugh Alexander Dollins (b. 28 Oct 1804, VA d. 29 Jan 1885, Louisa Co., VA).
Hugh Alexander Dollins (b. 1804 and d. 29 Jan 1885), married Isabel (Isabella) McCord, (m. 29 Jan 1885, Louisa Co., VA) who was my husband’s gg-grandfather. Isabel was born 28 April 1799, Albemarle Co., VA, and died between 1884 and Jan 29, 1885.
Hugh Alexander Dollins and Isabel McCord’s children were Samuel McC. Dollins (b. 12 Feb 1832 and d. 27 Jan 1891, and was my husband’s g-grandfather), who married Elizabeth Lane, John A. Dollins (b. About 1836 d. 30 Jan 1862 Civil War), William R. DOLLINS (b. About 1838 and d. 23 Aug 1861, Civil War), Mary Margaret DOLLINS (b. About 1840 and d. 25 Sept 1861, Diphtheria age 21), and Alexander M. DOLLINS (b. About 1842 d. 7 Oct 1861, Civil War).
