I think you are right. A lady from Huntsville, Alabama, who has done over 20 years research on the Dollarhides stated practically the same thing. She wrote on one of her family group sheets: "A John Dollarhide of early Scott Co., VA, later of Missouri, is believed to be a son of old John. This younger John was born 1783 in North Carolina."
The rest of the information certainly tallies up with what we know about James D. and Asahel and Andrew.
Thanks for the information. I hadn't checked out Missouri in regards to the Dollarhides.
