Hello Robert,

Henry Burch was apprentisor of my great-great-uncle, William Fox ca. 1809 in Person County. A Philip Burch, whom I take to be the brother of Henry, apprenticed my great-great-grandfather, John M. Fox, when his father was not available to the family. Philip Burch was married to Mary Hargis of Person.

I know that Henrietta Burch was a daughter of Henry Burch; she married James Roan and eventually settled in Missouri, as I recall.

It may be that Cornelius Dollarhide was a brother to Elizabeth Dollarhide Burch, as the Malone family was very much in prominence in the Caswell/Person Counties area as well. A Perthenia Malone, daughter of David Malone married my ancestral uncle, Miles Wells of Caswell in 1822. And Mary Robards Rainey, whose mother was Sarah Malone, married Thomas Lee Wells, brother to Miles Wells, also in Caswell County, NC.

The Burches, Hargis, Fox, Wells and Malones lived in the same general area, in the eastern part of Caswell and western part of Person.

Best regards,

John Fox
Winston Salem, NC
