Bob,
Would be interested in anything you find out about Willingham/Dollarhide connections. Perhaps it will help me find some of my missing family.
My g-aunt Cassandra Abbott m. Moore W.Dollarhide 1852 in Person Co. On 1860 census they are living next door to James & Rebecca Dollarhide. I believe Moore is their oldest son. Moore isn't listed on the 1870 census with his family. He enlisted in CSA in 1864 - by 1876 Cassandra is widowed with 2 daus. & living in TN. I've been unable to find her there - perhaps she moved again before the 1880 census.
Cassandra's brother (my g granddad)John James Abbott moved from Halifax Co, VA to St. Clair Co, AL in 1854 & raised a large family. Three of his sons married Willingham sisters. They were the daughters of Randolph D Willingham & Eliza E. Hardwick. Most of their descendants are still her in AL. Both families were in VA before they started moving westward. Have a good bit of info on them & will be happy to share. If you think it might help, let me know. E-mail me @ hcwise@aol.com. Don't want to clutter this board too much with other lines.
Mary Joe
