Sorry about the delay. Glad you had such a good find.

I went through my copy of the Little River County History
by Bill Beasley, and on page 179 they discuss the early formation of schools in Foreman. I'll quote a paragraph that includes your grandfather:

"The following two years, 1906-1907, 1907-1908, were under the principalship of Prof. T.L. Smythe, his wife assisting the second year. During this time some additional improvements were made on the campus. The next two years, 1908-1909, 1909-1910, were under the principalship of Mr. Otto Forehand and one other teacher, Mr. William Dollarhide, was added to the faculty."

I didn't find another mention of him, but this really confirms to me that he is your grandfather.

I have some time off this week-end, so I'll put together the information on Daniel Simpson's family for you. It seems we share J.S. Dollarhide as a great-great-grandfather! Welcome to a very large group. :)
