James was born in 1853/4 in Dundee, the son of James Doig and Jean (Jane) Black. James was born 3 Oct 1823 in Tulliallan, Perth, the son of James Doig and Isabella Grieve. Jame was born in Blackstown and christened 3 May 1778 in Airlie, the son of James Doig and Agnes Graham. He may be the James born at Gateside and christened 13 July 1730 in Eassie & Nevay, the son of David Doig. See file JAMX1730 at http://www.doig.net.
