Just curious. Would you have any connection at all even by marriages to O'Donnells.

I keep seeing the name Hugh Doherty, associated with my great grandparents and their children.
James O'Donnell & his wife Susan White Doherty both born around 1840-45. Married in Carndonagh in 1865/66 at the Sacred Heart Church.
Their children were Patrick(1867) John(1868) Neal(1871)
Mary Ann(later my grandmother July 28, 1873) Maggie(1875)
Denis (1878) and Philip(1880)

They had cousins living in Co Cork, named:
John O'Donnell & his wife Elizabeth Carney, who had 3 sons John F, Peter and Patrick,
& then there were th Dohertys Neil his wife(?) and their 3 daughters Bridget, Ellen, and Mary.

Bridget Doherty m John F O'Donnell at the Sacred Heart Church in Carndonagh Jan 1881, and then immigrated to MA USA in April 1881.

My mystery is which side of the family is the cousin connection on, for their definetly is one.

Barbara
